Our Story

Kat Pawz Sanctuary, located in Oxford, GA, is a nonprofit that operates as a cage-free safe haven for cats and kittens. It all began when we were little girls, with our shared dream - to be able to save all the homeless and unwanted animals we came across. This mission was solidified when a sick, scared cat found refuge under a tree in our backyard. We gave him shelter from the cold and rain, began feeding him and eventually gained his trust. He is now an old man named “Peach” who loves scratches, treats and laying in bed all day.

 

Peach’s story is reflected in every cat we rescue. With just a little love and care, the sickest, most scared cats can become your best friend. This is why we work hard to rescue homeless and unwanted cats, provide them with the best medical care and a loving environment for them to heal and thrive in.
